Terms of service
These terms cover website projects and care plans from Plainspoken Web Studio. Each project also gets a short written scope (pages, features, price, timeline). If the scope and these terms disagree, the scope wins.
Previews
Previews are free and come with no obligation. A preview stays our work until you start a project; please don’t publish it without one.
Payment
Projects are paid 50% upfront and 50% when the site is ready to launch, by invoice (card or PayPal) or through a marketplace you choose. Care plans are billed monthly in advance and can be cancelled any time, effective at the end of the paid month.
Refunds
If you’re not happy with the first full design and decide not to continue, we refund your deposit in full. Once you approve the design and we move into the build, the deposit is non-refundable. Third-party costs like domains are not refundable through us.
Revisions and changes
Each package includes a set number of revision rounds. Requests outside the agreed scope (new pages, new features) are quoted separately before any work begins.
Your content and ownership
You confirm you have the right to use any text, logos and photos you send us. Once the project is paid in full, you own the finished site, its content and its files. We may show the work in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.
Third-party services
Domains, ordering, booking and payment providers are run by other companies under their own terms and fees. We’re not responsible for their outages or changes, but we’ll help where we can.
No guarantees on rankings or results
We build sites to good technical and SEO standards, but we can’t guarantee search rankings, traffic or sales.
Liability
Our total liability for any project is limited to the amount you paid us for it. Neither side is liable for indirect or consequential losses.
